Defense Litigation Secretary South Bay Firm

A busy medical malpractice defense team is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to provide high‑level litigation and administrative support. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, tech‑savvy, and confident handling a fast‑paced defense caseload.

Responsibilities include preparing and filing pleadings, discovery, motions, and correspondence; managing attorney calendars and deadlines; organizing medical records; communicating with clients, experts, and court personnel; coordinating state and federal e‑filings; assisting with billing; and maintaining accurate case files. Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask are essential.

• 3+ years as a litigation legal secretary
• Knowledge of medical terminology and medical record workflows
• Proficiency with state and federal e‑filings
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong technical proficiency with MS Office, document management systems, and billing software
• Stable work history
• Experience supporting multiple attorneys
• Background in insurance defense, medical malpractice, or healthcare litigation

• Salary: $85-95K
  , with up to $100K for specific experience within medical malpractice defense
