Global Supply Chain Manager

Operations Department | Full-Time | Onsite – St. Louis, MO with International Travel

Service Metal is seeking an experienced and strategic Global Supply Chain Manager to lead and strengthen our global sourcing and supplier network. This role is responsible for managing supplier relationships, driving procurement strategy, ensuring continuity of supply, and building scalable supply chain processes that support company growth.

This position will work closely with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams to ensure Service Metal maintains a reliable, cost‑effective, and high‑performing global supply chain operation.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Global Supply Chain Manager will lead sourcing and procurement efforts across domestic and international suppliers while managing supplier performance, quality standards, pricing, and supply continuity. This role is responsible for developing strategic supplier partnerships, mitigating supply chain risks, and ensuring Service Metal maintains strong operational support for customer demand and company growth.

You will collaborate closely with Operations, Sales, and executive leadership to align sourcing strategies with operational objectives and service expectations. This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to directly influence company performance and long‑term supply chain strategy.

This is a full‑time, onsite position based at our St. Louis Corporate Headquarters with frequent domestic and international travel.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead and manage the Supply Chain Team through clear expectations, accountability, and performance standards.
  • Own supplier relationships, including supplier selection, performance management, compliance, quality, cost, and delivery performance.
  • Manage procurement activities for direct materials, indirect materials, and company services.
  • Establish and enforce vendor quality standards to ensure products consistently meet company and customer expectations.
  • Conduct supplier reviews, audits, and on‑site visits to evaluate supplier capabilities, quality systems, and operational reliability.
  • Monitor supplier lead times, production schedules, and global market conditions to ensure continuity of supply.
  • Identify and develop alternative and redundant sourcing strategies to reduce supply chain risk and dependency.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supplier agreements to maintain cost competitiveness while protecting quality and service levels.
  • Partner with Operations and Sales teams to align sourcing strategies with customer demand and operational goals.
  • Develop and improve supplier scorecards, reporting, and performance tracking systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to procurement processes, supplier reliability, and supply chain efficiency.
  • Represent Service Metal professionally in all supplier, customer, and business interactions.
