Position Summary

The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for coordinating the shipping and receiving of raw material to the North American Bunge plants and tropical oils customers. This role will coordinate with multiple teams throughout Bunge North America to ensure supply of Tropical Oils.

Core Functions
  • Work directly with commodity department and vessel vendor to track and monitor inbound vessel shipment from overseas.
  • Monitoring inventory levels at various US and Canadian facilities.
  • Manage and track US barge fleet and rail fleet
  • Assist in the administration of supply agreements for barge.
  • Monitor and manage status and operational condition of barges including repairs and preventive maintenance.
  • Work directly with surveyors including giving directions, monitoring performance, approving charges and invoices.
  • Work directly with production scheduling to ensure inventory position at the plant is sufficient and uninterrupted by arranging all barge, rail &, if necessary, truck shipments to appropriate Bunge Plant.
  • Provide detailed, critical weekly inventory / supply plan to operations team including reports for several meetings for review.
  • Manage inventory disposition plan to storage & transload facility at supplier for all inbound material into either storage tanks or on to barge or rail for transport.
  • Create and provide deployment plan for the transportation of all raw material from suppliers, working directly with third party providers including barge, rail and truck.
  • Log all inbound shipment in proper databases, including but not limited to excel, access inventory model and SAP.
  • Codes and prepares proper paperwork for billing and authorization of a variety of invoices per defined processes.
  • Re-routes freight as needed to meet demands with minimized costs.
  • Verifies accuracy of physical inventory when needed including month end inventory reconciliation.
  • Overview performance of third-party raw material handling services, quality services.
  • Work with QA for all required sample shipments.
  • Communicates fulfillment status and / or issues within the Organization to points including Demand / Supply Planning, Logistics Management, Sales, and Customer Service.
Skills/Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Logistics and Transportation or Supply Chain Management, Operations
  • Must have good organizational and time management skills
  • Must be able to coordinate work with the other departments
  • Must be a critical thinker who can use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions
  • APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP, CLTD) would be a plus

Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
