Overview

The Opportunity:

You will report to the supervisor of site services and work closely with the Avantor Lab and Production Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission‑based lab work and research protocols.

  • Hourly rate: $23-$25
  • Shift: Monday - Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pm
  • Location:

    Santa Clara, CA – travel between Santa Clara and Sunnyvale sites required
  • Travel:
    Mileage reimbursement provided for travel between client facilities
Responsibilities
  • Receive, unpack and de‑trash products (consumables, chemicals, samples) at customer dock or shipping/receiving point.
  • Record receipts against packing slips and follow up on any discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels in Avantor storerooms and customer areas.
  • Transport consumables within customer facilities using wheeled carts; replenish POU locations per schedule.
  • Transact stocking quantities by item and location using scanner and proprietary software; download transactions as required.
  • Monitor and conduct regular POU audits for proper signage, min/max levels, contact information, and record changes.
  • Serve as the point person for customer communications regarding inventory availability issues and escalation.
  • Support special projects such as tours and other non‑standard activities onsite.
  • Meet all scheduling requirements and perform any other duties/tasks assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ years of customer service, inventory replenishment, or material handling experience.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office;
    Microsoft Teams experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; able to lift up to 50 lb.
  • Strong communication skills; ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Previous experience in a GMP facility strongly desired.
