What You’ll Do Every Day:
- Negotiate Smarter: Build strong carrier partnerships and run regular RFPs to secure competitive rates and payment terms across LTL, FTL, Ocean, and Parcel.
- Optimize Every Shipment: Review box sizes, packaging, and palletization to reduce DIM charges and improve trailer and container utilization.
- Keep Freight Moving: Coordinate inbound raw materials and outbound finished goods, tracking shipments to support on-time delivery.
- Audit, Recover, and Resolve: Review freight invoices, dispute billing errors, manage claims, and address customer chargebacks tied to freight issues.
- Use Data to Drive Results: Maintain logistics KPIs, support shipping quotes for Sales, ensure compliance, and apply accurate freight classifications.
What We Are Looking For:
- Relevant
Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience) and 3–5 years in logistics, freight coordination, or supply chain operations. - Technical Strength: Advanced Excel skills and hands-on experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and ERP platforms.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong math, data analysis, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn logistics data into action.
- Negotiation & Accountability: Proven ability to negotiate effectively, manage carrier relationships, and hold partners accountable for service and pricing
- Packaging & Space Optimization: Strong spatial reasoning and practical experience improving packaging efficiency and cube utilization.
