Labor Specialist, Supply Operations

Responsibilities

• Analyze Ford's exposure to labor-related supplier risk by monitoring union activity, collective bargaining agreements, supplier health, and industry labor trends.
• Develop labor risk assessments and prioritize suppliers based on business impact and disruption potential.
• Assess supplier business continuity and labor contingency plans to strengthen supply chain resiliency.
• Lead cross‑functional coordination during labor disruptions, providing risk assessments, executive updates, and mitigation recommendations.
• Engage with supplier leadership to monitor labor negotiations and validate readiness activities.
• Support development of digital tools and analytics that improve labor risk visibility and predictive capabilities.
• Drive continuous improvement of labor resiliency processes and reporting.

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Labor Relations, Manufacturing, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Strategic Sourcing, Manufacturing Operations, Labor Relations, or Supply Chain Risk Management
• Experience assessing supplier risk and developing mitigation strategies to support business continuity and supply chain resiliency
• Knowledge of unionized manufacturing environments, collective bargaining agreements (CBAs), and labor-related supply chain risks
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and project management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence cross‑functional teams
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
