Temporary Maintenance Technician

Job Summary


The Temporary Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general maintenance, repair, and custodial tasks to ensure the church buildings, grounds, and equipment are safe, clean, and functional. This position supports the mission of the Catholic Church by maintaining a welcoming, well-kept environment for worship, ministry, and parish activities.


Job Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of church buildings, including restrooms, offices, and common areas.
• Set up and take down furniture and equipment for church events and liturgical functions.
• Ensure security of buildings by locking doors, windows, and gates as assigned.
• Respond to emergency maintenance issues promptly.
• Respect the sacred nature of church spaces during work.

Job Requirements

• Self-motivated and able to work independently or with minimal supervision.
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends for events or emergencies.
• Commitment to the values and mission of the Catholic Church (practicing Catholic not required, but respectful attitude essential).
