What You’ll Do: As the Field Service Technician, you will perform and carry out all tasks related to installing, assembling, servicing, and repairing Aerzen products. They provide customers with prompt, professional, and high‑quality service. Work is performed at our location and/or at the customer’s location. Services may be scheduled or on‑demand. Overnight travel on short notice is often required.
- Perform startups, equipment inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and/or preventive maintenance service on all Aerzen Products at customer sites; represent Aerzen in a professional and courteous manner following all Aerzen and customer safety requirements.
- Install, configure, calibrate and maintain control, measurement and indicating instrumentation (pneumatic, analog & digital); install and terminate electrical, pneumatic and fluid connections; understand controls narratives and analyze/troubleshoot process application related issues.
- Analyze and correct communication issues; properly address TCP/IP networks and RS‑485 communications.
- Perform repairs and assembly on Aerzen Products; disassemble; assess damage and evaluate failures on machines; diagnose problems with Aerzen machines by evaluating material condition and asking the customer questions; demonstrate the ability to offer machine‑based recommendations; identify the root cause of a machine failure; utilize defined procedures and a standard rebuild kit.
- Read, understand and use equipment diagrams, checklists, engineering drawings, and other process documentation to perform service tasks, assembly and repairs on Aerzen Products.
- Communicate with customers to discuss job requirements, provide recommendations and service options, listen to customer concerns, and provide status updates during service call and at completion.
- Evaluate customer future needs and communicate information through appropriate channels.
- Assist engineering in plant design, modifications and hazard analysis.
- Plan and schedule travel to best meet customer requirement, service schedule requirement and time efficiency utilizing the Concur booking tool.
- Complete job‑related service reports, expense reports and forms in a timely basis; collect data and make commissioning graphs using company software.
- Complete written repair reports to document cause of failure, description of work performed, materials consumed, condition of equipment as received and as returned to the customer.
- Conduct customer training on Aerzen Products when onsite.
- Perform all work in accordance with quality standards, established safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe work area.
- Participate in departmental initiatives such as, but not limited to, inventory counts, shop organization, clean‑up and other duties assigned by the manager.
- Education: An Associates Degree (2 years) in electronics technology or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 1‑4 years of Field Service Experience with rotary equipment such as compressors, pumps or similar. Must have electrical experience, preferably working with VFDs and controls.

- Technology Aptitudes: Windows, Microsoft Office, Salesforce Internet Abilities; TCP/IP networks and RS‑485 communications:
Allen Bradley PLC experience preferred. Will learn and utilize other software systems. - Other
