Facilities Description

The Lodges are looking for an experienced maintenance crew member to complete our teams. Our Maintenance crew works closely with the Facilities Manager to ensure the property functions well, is exceptionally maintained, and provides a great guest experience. The ideal candidate is able to work in a fast paced and busy environment as a versatile team member. Maintenance crew members work together to keep the grounds and buildings in proper working order.

Skills utilized as a maintenance crew member include plumbing, electrical, woodworking, general construction, landscaping, painting, and winter maintenance. We are looking for a warm, friendly person leading a healthy, active lifestyle who has high standards and integrity. We welcome career-oriented applicants at all of The Lodges.

Qualifications Essential Functions/Key Responsibilities

  • Be flexible in job duties, and willing to work in all conditions
  • Communicate professionally with all staff, and management
  • Work safely to avoid injuries and accidents, including wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment
  • When finding unsafe conditions and maintenance concerns, address them immediately by turning in Maintenance Service Requests
  • Assist with other lodge needs as may arise from time to time
  • Comply with proper clean up procedures
  • Comply with procedures for chemical use
  • Comply with all safety requirements

Competencies/Required

Skills and Abilities
  • Possess a Driver’s License with a clean record
  • Prior facilities training and experience (ideally in hospitality)
  • Expertise in structured systems/processes
  • Strong basic knowledge and skills in all hospitality-related maintenance areas including general construction, electrical, plumbing, painting, vehicle maintenance, winter maintenance
  • Exceptionally strong trouble‑shooting skills, and general mechanical acumen
  • Organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to troubleshoot to ensure timely and accurate service to guests
  • Ensure work area is kept clean and neat
  • Able to follow instructions accurately and multi‑task
  • Capable of self‑supervision and of supervising others
  • When opportunities arise, support interns in our Internship Program to help them be most successful in their work and at the Lodge
  • Able to smile and provide warm, heartfelt hospitality to external and internal guests
  • Able to answer guest questions and give appropriate guidance
  • Able to work safely to avoid injuries and accidents, including wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment
  • Able to immediately address any observed unsafe conditions or maintenance concerns by contacting supervisors as necessary and/or turning in Maintenance Service Requests
  • Able to meet consistent attendance requirements and comply with schedules/breaks
  • Able to communicate well and professionally with colleagues and supervisors
  • Excited about creating a warm, family atmosphere for guests and staff while maintaining high standards
  • High integrity

Work environment and Physical demands
  • The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions
  • Frequent walking, twisting, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, sitting, climbing stairs
  • Ability to stand and move continuously
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds’ maximum
  • Working with required chemicals
  • Shifts of up to 8 hours per day, plus periodic additional overtime hours
Details
  • Full time position available immediately
  • 40 hours of paid time off per year
  • Healthcare benefits available after 90 days

  • Regular work schedule with specific days off will be established
  • Room and board available for fixed weekly cost both Onsite and Offsite
