AITX Repair Services is currently seeking candidates to fill our open Valve Technician positions.

A Valve Technician will be responsible for the removal, tagging for identification for later reapplication, tank car product and pressure relief valves.

JOB DUTIES

• Interpret job work orders to perform required repairs
• Coordinate and complete repairs in an efficient manner and within assigned hours
• Follow all safety rules, keep work area clean and comply with all AITX EHS Policies
• Ensure AAR, ARS and customer quality assurance standards are met

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to read and write English at a high school level
• Ability to work in the heat and cold and in all-weather conditions
• Comfortable working around heavy equipment and on top of and under railcars, as well as around railroad tracks.
• Experience with a variety of hand tools and power tools and mechanical repair
• Knowledge of machines and tools required to weld, cut and gouge
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions including basic blueprints and schematics.
• Basic mechanical skills and the ability to read a tape measure
• Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
