Accounts Payable Manager

Overview

The Accounts Payable (AP) Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the accounts payable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments, maintaining strong internal controls, and leading the AP team. This role partners closely with internal departments to support financial operations, compliance, and process improvements in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

• Lead and manage day-to-day accounts payable operations, including invoice coding, approvals, batching, and payment processing
• Oversee AP processing within the ERP system (
  Net Suite experience required
  )
• Supervise, train, and develop AP staff to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and performance standards
• Ensure timely month-end and year-end close activities related to accounts payable
• Reconcile accounts payable subledger to the general ledger and resolve discrepancies
• Manage vendor setup, maintenance, and ensure accurate 1099 reporting
• Monitor AP aging reports and maintain timely vendor payments while supporting cash-flow management
• Develop, implement, and maintain AP policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Collaborate with procurement and internal departments to streamline AP workflows
• Support internal, external, and regulatory audits by providing documentation and analysis
• Identify and lead process improvement initiatives, including automation and system enhancements
• Stay current on regulations that may impact vendor payments or reporting

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounts payable experience
• Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
• Hands-on experience with Net Suite ERP (required)
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounts payable best practices
• Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
• Proven leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and operate in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
