Job Description and DutiesUnder the general direction of a Division Chief of Program/Project Management and the Office Chief of Program Management Support, the incumbent is responsible for the coordination and management of the District 4 SB‑1 and Brokering Programs and performs duties related to but not limited to BATA and other areas as associated with the Offices of Program Management Support and Project Management Support.
The incumbent will serve as the Assistant SB‑1 District 4 Coordinator and the District 4 Brokering Manager.
- Develop, execute, and update the SB‑1 baseline.
- Provide regular SB‑1 project status and reports.
- Facilitate communications (oral, written, or meetings) within and outside the district to monitor, report SB‑1 progress and resolve concerns.
- Participate in project status and management meetings; analyze situations, take appropriate action or recommend options.
- Escalate significant concerns timely with recommendations to the Office Chief, the Division Chief, Deputy District Director Program/Project Management, and the Chief Deputy District Director.
- Develop, execute, and update the brokering Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
- Provide regular brokering status and reports.

- Senior Transportation Engineer, Caltrans
- Valid driver’s license when operating a state‑owned or leased vehicle
- Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) required, must be typed, no more than two pages, 12‑point Arial font.
- Knowledge of project management, programming, and change control processes.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and build partnerships with internal and external partners.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including clear and concise correspondence and reports.
- Possession of minimum qualifications verified prior to interview or appointment; include unofficial transcript(s) / diploma for verification.
