This is an anticipated full-time confidential staff PASD position as our PIMS Data Manager. This position is on-site in Palmyra, PA working for Palmyra Area School District.

SUMMARY

The PIMS Data Manager is a key member of the district's Pupil Services and Technology Departments. This position is responsible for all state reporting in PIMS (Pennsylvania Information Management System), account creation in technology systems, and work within the SIS (student information system). This role ensures that all local and state reporting requirements are accurately met in a timely manner and requires collaboration with others as well as attention to detail.

This position is on-site in the Palmyra Area School District, Palmyra, PA.

Must comply with the requirements of the Pennsylvania School Code for Public School Employees.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS
  • PIMS/Power School (SIS) Data Manager
    • Maintains all enrollment data in the student information system (SIS).
    • Completes all child accounting processes according to the PIMS requirements.
    • Uploads data as required by PDE timelines and testing schedules.
    • Maintain the school calendars and rollover process in the SIS.
  • Knowledge Management & Documentation
    • Develop and maintain internal documentation and procedures.
    • Update the district's support knowledge base to provide accessible, accurate help resources for staff and technicians.
    • Assist in documenting systems and training materials for internal use.
    • Attends trainings for PIMS, SIS, and data management.
  • Technology Collaboration and Support
    • Work with the tech team in managing activation, termination, and permissions of user accounts.
    • Stay current with PIMS and SIS updates.
    • Collaborate with staff on building reports in the SIS.
    • Assist the Student Services department with registration, enrollment, and state reporting.
    • Adds content, maintains, and updates school communications, including website, social media, and newsletters
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

To successfully perform this position, a person must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

The qualification requirements listed below represent minimal levels of educational achievement, training, skill and/or ability necessary.

  • Associates degree required; or Bachelor's degree preferred. Relevant school experience will be considered.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in a K-12 educational environment.
  • Familiarity with school information systems (SIS) and Microsoft Office Applications
  • Knowledge of PA State Reporting requirements

COMPENSATION INFORMATION
  • Salary Range: $40,684.80 - $59,820.80 (with an increase July 1, 2026)
