**** Job Overview
** The Payroll Employee Support Team Lead leads and coordinates activities of workers engaged on the Employee Support Team.  Uses specialized knowledge and skills obtained through training and experience to perform a wide variety of complex payroll tasks.  Must have flexibility to assist Payroll Specialist using established policies and procedures to complete tasks.  Maintains extensive contact with internal customers to ensure all needs are met timely.  

Provide excellent customer service, professionalism, and efficient support to staff and all employees.
** Roles & Responsibilities
** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  Other duties may be assigned.
* Leads the work of the Employee Supports Team and ensure excellent customer service is provided
* Manages the Sys Aid payroll ticketing system meeting the defined SLAs
* Manages the payroll department emails meeting the defined SLAs
* Assists in escalations and ensuring that the customer/employee is acknowledged, updated, and closes the loop in the communication process
* Reviews and approves banking transactions, MPFs, retros, TORs, terminations, and other monthly, quarterly, and yearly tasks
* Responsible for G/L reporting, bank and account reconciliation inquiries
* Primary payroll systems expert and resource for the department
* Interprets company policies and government regulations affecting payroll procedures
* Provides information as requested to employees, supervisors, outside agencies, internal and external auditors, or other agencies
* Work under pressure on multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities
* Other duties as assigned

** Education and/ or

Experience:

** Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or a related field from a four-year college or university with 3-5 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Multi-state payroll experience
** Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
** CPP or FPC Preferred May be required to have a valid driver’s license
** Supervisory Responsibilities
** Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include participating in the interview process, addressing complaints, and resolving problems. Ensure employees are properly trained on tasks and safety requirements.  Handle stressful situations and lead others in providing a high level of customer service in a calm and professional manner.
