OverviewWe are looking for a self-starting, motivated person who excels at building relationships, enjoys sales and marketing, and provides excellent customer service. The District Executive manages a designated district within the council, focusing on growing in finance, membership, and volunteer development. A Scouting background is NOT required for this position.
Responsibilities- Develop and grow the district across finance, membership, and volunteer development.
- Build relationships, engage diverse audiences, and provide customer service in support of program goals.
- Utilize marketing, management, budgeting, event planning, fundraising, and public speaking skills.
- Represent the council in community and business settings to advance Scouting initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree (Required)
- US work authorization (Required)
- Sales experience (1 year preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license
- Must be 21 years of age or older (unless prohibited by law)
- Ability to travel for training at least once a year for one to two weeks
- Ability to lift 20 pounds regularly
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to work with volunteers and community leaders
- Non-profit, fundraising, sales, or marketing experience is a plus
- Understanding of Scouting expectations and ability to subscribe to Scout Oath and Law
- Base salary: $44,000 per year
- Performance incentive: up to $10,000 annually
