Landscape Project Manager

Position Summary

The Landscape Project Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations. This includes managing field crews, ensuring quality control, maintaining relationships with the client, scheduling work, and achieving budget and performance goals. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience in landscape construction, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of horticultural practices and landscape management. This position is working in the field 75% of the time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Account Management:
    • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality standards are met, and client expectations are exceeded.
    • Resolve client concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Team Leadership & Supervision:
    • Schedule and manage landscape crews.
    • Ensure crews are equipped, trained, and motivated to perform high-quality work.
    • Monitor employee performance and enforce company policies and safety procedures.
  • Operational Planning & Scheduling:
    • Create and manage weekly work schedules to ensure timely completion.
    • Order products.
    • Vendor relations.
  • Budgeting & Cost Control:
    • Monitor labor hours, materials, and other job costs to ensure profitability.
    • Track job progress and adjust resources as needed to stay within budget.
  • Safety & Compliance:
    • Enforce safety protocols and ensure crew compliance with OSHA standards and company policies.
    • Conduct regular safety meetings and job site audits.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in landscape, with a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong knowledge of horticulture, irrigation systems, and landscape construction.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Proficient in scheduling and crew management; computer skills mandatory.
  • Knowledge of reading construction plans & CAD.
  • Multi‑task – time management.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Working Conditions
  • Mostly outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
  • Must be able to walk, bend, lift up to 50 lbs., and perform site inspections on foot.
