The Department of Transportation and Public Works is seeking an Assistant Division Manager - Planning & Programming to assist the Engineering Manager in planning, overseeing and administering specialized engineering projects.
The typical starting salary range will be $90,022 - $108,035 annually depending on the candidate's qualifications and experience as well as budgetary considerations.

Essential Function Examples- Assist Manager in planning, organizing and managing the completion of daily operations of the County Division to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, County Department policies and procedures and goals and objectives.
- Assist Manager with engineering programs. Requires strong background in Asset Management, prioritizing needs, and programming projects to best utilize available budget to address those needs while maximizing funding source potential through researching grant opportunities and ensuring competitive grant writing.
- Assist Manager in developing and monitoring the County Division’s budget.
- Assist Manager in planning, organizing, administering, reviewing and evaluating the work of subordinate professional, technical, office support and operational staff through subordinate levels of supervision, ensuring timely completion of division goals and objectives and making recommendations on hiring, termination, promotion and discipline as required.
- Represent the County Division and Department in meetings with other County Departments, divisions and a variety of public, business and community organizations.
Perform other duties as required or assigned.
- Licensure as a Registered Professional by the Missouri Board of Engineers, Architects and Land Surveyors.
- Seven years of related experience.
- Possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license.
