Safety Coordinator

Overview

Branch Safety Coordinator – Hazelwood, MO

Salary: $65,000 to $70,000.

• Coordinate and/or complete required branch safety activities such as job site observations, vehicle inspections, safety meetings, and other activities as needed.
• Assess branch physical facilities.
• Inspect Roto‑Rooter owned equipment.
• Purchase and manage inventory of personal protective and loss prevention equipment.
• Ensure required branch safety training is completed.
• Lead the branch safety team.
• Educate employees on OSHA regulations, standards, and company safety policies.
• Conduct and assist with incident investigations and report findings to management.
• Evaluate and report on branch safety practices when required.
• Complete the monthly Branch Safety Report.
• Participate in monthly conference calls with the Region Safety Manager to review current and planned safety activities.
• Assist with plumbing school training and coordinate certified field trainers regarding safety.
• Serve as a Safety Ambassador within the company and to the community.
• Coordinate and manage the Commercial Driving Safety Program including driver qualification files.
• Oversee PPE levels.

• Excellent communicator and patient instructor/trainer.
• OSHA knowledge and experience with safety equipment and practices.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office, internet, and smartphones.
