Overview
Supplier Management Manager – Level K with The Boeing Global Services Government (BGS‑G) Supplier Management Team. This role supports the Top Tier Contracting team and the holder will be located in Hazelwood, MO.
Position Responsibilities- Oversee and coordinate a BGS‑G Top Tier team, including terms and conditions, schedule adherence, and relationship building with major supplier partners.
- Manage Post Award Supplier Performance – oversight and coordination of supplier performance management, open order management and customer alignment for transactional procurement for all BGS‑G demands and customers.
- Provide subcontract support, supplier delivery performance and support for all program objectives.
- Act as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier‑related activities and the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements.
- Coordinate with the larger BGS‑G Supply Chain team (Forecasting, Planning, Order Execution) on proposal requirements, execution requirements and keeping programs and stakeholders informed on supplier status, issues, risks and opportunities.
- Develop and execute project and process plans, implement policies and procedures, and set operational goals.
- Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement processes.
- Provide oversight regarding negotiation processes and related tools.
- At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temporary manager, large‑scale cross‑functional project/program management, or format manager experience) or completion of the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
- 5+ years of experience working with Supplier Management, Supply Chain, and/or Procurement practices and processes.
- 5+ years of Supplier Relationship Management experience (managing supplier relationships).
- Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements – a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62.
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Experience with Government procurement procedures and requirements (FARs/DFARs).
- Complex negotiation experience.
- Proficient utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrate analytical and problem solving skills.
- Solid business acumen, teaming, and excellent stakeholder communication and empathy.
Competitive base pay and variable compensation opportunities. Pay range: $95,000 – $135,000. Eligible employees may enroll in a variety of benefit programs including health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and paid and unpaid time away from work. Specific programs and options vary by eligibility, geographic location, and other factors.
