Strategies to Empower People is looking to hire a full‑time Case Supervisor for our Deaf Supported Living Services department! This position works directly with the I/DD adults our agency serves and provides ongoing supervision, training, and development for the direct support staff that work with our clients in the Sacramento County area.
This position and department support and employ people who are deaf or hard of hearing. American Sign Language skills are a requirement for this role.
WHAT IS THE JOB?The Case Supervisor for Deaf Supported Living Services is responsible for providing support for a caseload of clients, supervising and training the staff that work with those clients, and meeting numerous administrative requirements such as documentation, auditing, and training. The role is field‑based: 75% of the time is spent face‑to‑face with clients, and 25% on administrative tasks.
SCHEDULEThe position is salaried and exempt. It is on call Monday through Friday and shares a rotating on‑call weekend with other supervisory team members (potentially one weekend a month). The role is not a traditional 9 a.m.–5 p.m. schedule.
LOCATIONPosition located in the Sacramento office at 2330 Glendale Lane, Sacramento, CA 95825. The supervisor is expected to spend most time in the field and support clients throughout the Sacramento County area.
JOB REQUIREMENTS- Minimum 2 years of experience working with individuals who have Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities (I/DD population).
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience and budgetary/financial management experience.
- Effective communication using American Sign Language.
- Proficient computer skills and ability to use standard electronic, computer, and database systems.
- Valid driver’s license, insured, with a clean driving record (no recent DUIs or excessive points).
