Location: California

Overview

This is a full-time on-site position in Van Nuys, CA. The incumbent will manage, supervise, and coordinate all Field Shop staff, operations, activities, and equipment. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM with overtime as needed. Wage range is $33 – $42 per hour.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise staff and monitor the day-to-day operations of the Field Shop Department.
  • Promote and embrace the Ruffner One Team culture across divisions operating within Ruffner Field Shop.
  • Fill equipment needs for clients by supervising and delegating activities of Tech Ops personnel.
  • Implement new processes and procedures as directed by the VP Engineering & Ops / Ruffner Field Shop.
  • Manage and provide leadership and direction for the Inventory Control Coordinator position.
  • Maintain quality control of inbound rentals and systems to ensure all equipment is returned and accounted for.
  • Oversee all outbound dry hire rentals and systems to ensure orders are accurate, contracted, and delivered per client expectations.
  • Assist with the coordination and management of all inbound and outbound shipping of equipment and fly packs for Bexel projects and NEP divisions.
  • Mentor current and future Tech Ops personnel, including training in broadcast equipment, processes, career-path development, and internal talent identification.
Position Requirements
  • Associate’s Degree in a technical discipline or an equivalent combination of academic and work experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in broadcast and high-volume warehouse/logistics environments.
  • Minimum 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of broadcast technology, equipment, facilities, and production for major commercial and cable television networks.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office, logistics/inventory management software, and related).
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
