Job Title: General Manager

Job Location: St. Louis, MO (On-site)

Reports To: VP, Operations

The General Manager, STL is responsible for leading day-to-day fulfillment operations within the St. Louis Collectivus facility. This role owns operational execution across all channels and business units served by the site, including eCommerce, distribution, retail replenishment, and direct-to-consumer, ensuring orders are processed accurately, efficiently, and on time.

The GM ensures the facility operates safely, profitably, and in alignment with enterprise fulfillment standards. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for throughput, labor planning, backlog management, and service-level performance.

Responsibilities1. Facility Operations
  • Lead all daily fulfillment activities, including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and returns.
  • Ensure operational throughput meets or exceeds demand.
  • Manage backlog elimination and peak planning.
  • Drive service-level performance across omnichannel order streams.
  • Ensure accuracy and quality standards are consistently met.
2. Labor & Workforce Management
  • Own workforce planning and scheduling aligned to demand.
  • Manage labor productivity and cost-per-order metrics.
  • Partner with staffing agencies and internal HR as needed.
  • Build a performance-driven operational culture.
  • Maintain high standards of accountability and discipline.
3. Performance Management
  • Track and report facility-level KPIs, including:
    • Order accuracy
    • On-time shipment
    • Units per labor hour
    • Cost per order
    • Safety metrics
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the site.
4. Process & Systems Alignment
  • Execute enterprise fulfillment standards and SOPs.
  • Partner with IT and Operations on WMS/ERP
  • Ensure accurate inventory controls and system integrity.
  • Support rollout of automation and process improvements.
5. Financial & Operational Discipline
  • Manage facility operating budget.
  • Drive cost control initiatives without compromising service.
  • Support capital planning and equipment needs.
