job description and duties
this position may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the department and is subject to change as business needs arise.
the employment program manager iii (epm iii) will serve as a section manager/alternate manager of the unemployment insurance center inglewood providing leadership, coaching and managing the epm is and the administrative personnel as assigned. The epm iii will model the mission, vision, and values of the department and of the branch in interactions with internal and external customers.
the position requires the selected candidate to be knowledgeable in the unemployment insurance (ui) program and ui system in order to plan, coordinate, direct, supervise and evaluate the activities of multiple units that handle determination, claims filing and information services to ui customers and employers. The epm iii is also responsible to and manage the other functions/production of the ui center including appeals, adjustments, over payments, payment authorization, clerical works and quality control.
