Maintenance Supervisor

Duties

• Supervises the Range Operation Maintenance section with full responsibility over the operation involving approximately six subordinate workers.
• Works under the direction of the Supervisory Range Planner who provides general instructions, standard procedures, overall priorities and policies,
• and relies on the incumbent to control work operations and accomplish an adequate quantity and quality of work.
• Coordinates with outside agencies for similar related work functions.
• Informs supervisor of the need to revise work schedules and re-estimate labor and other resources.
• Determines equipment, supplies, and maintenance required.
• Assures that material is ordered and delivered to work sites so as not to delay work.

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.
• This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
• This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination to ensure required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
• This position is subject to a pre-employment drug screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
• This position has a requirement to lift up to 50 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element):
Ability to do the work of an Maintenance Supervisor ~ without more than normal supervision. The ability to perform common duties which include:
Planning work schedules for subordinate employees with supervisory input;
Reviewing work in progress, and resolves any problems related to the work; and Planning current and future budget requests with supervisory assistance.
