SITE MANAGER POSITION INFORMATION

Location: Main Campus (primary), Group Homes Reports To: Quality Assurance and Compliance Director FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Employee Status: Part-Time Work Schedule: 8-hour rotating shifts: 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM Supervision Given: None Supervision Received: Quality Assurance and Compliance Director, Director of Operations

NATURE AND SCOPE OF POSITION

The Site Manager assumes responsibility for overseeing all facility activities from the on-campus Site Manager office. The Site Manager maintains contact with facility administration, case managers, nursing, and direct care staff as needed to ensure the smooth operation of all programs. The day-to-day running of all Magnolia operations is essential in pursuing our vision of a shared community where our clients are able to thrive and grow and be recognized for their contributions to society.

PRIMARY

QUALIFICATIONS Education
  • High School diploma or GED, required
Work Experience
  • A minimum of two years in management, staffing, or customer service, required
  • Previous experience with developmentally disabled adults, preferred
Certification or License
  • Current Louisiana Driver’s License, required
  • Satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record, required
  • Attendance at mandatory training and in-services, required

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical operations using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to interpret bar graphs
  • Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel; ability to compose narrative reports and emails; ability to use the online scheduling program used by the residential and supportive independent living programs

JOB FUNCTIONS

Staffing & Operations
  • Assist program managers and other administrators during non-business hours; coordinate replacements for absent shift staff to ensure adequate staffing in group homes
  • Record staff absences and reasons for absences for each shift
  • Make adjustments to DSP staff assignments based on client census in each group home and facility need
  • Ensure that essential information is passed on to the incoming Site Manager at each shift change
Client Oversight
  • Validate client outings for approval and staff compliance; maintain up-to-date records of the location of all residential clients at all times during the shift
  • Maintain daily client census log and client sign-in/out sheets
  • Clock clients in and out of the day program when entering and exiting through the front gate
  • Assist staff in behavior management of clients across all programs
  • Regulate vehicle and pedestrian traffic at the facility entrance for smooth client drop-off and pick-up; enforce safety procedures for pedestrians and clients
Facility & Security
  • Make routine checks of campus facilities and gates; lock and unlock gates at appropriate times of day
  • Monitor cameras in group homes and on-campus, dependent on client location, to ensure safety of clients as well as staff
