Audit Manager​/Director – State and Local Government

• Manage and develop relationships with clients
• Assist clients in obtaining necessary funding to positively impact their communities
• Assist clients with audit and financial planning objectives using a range of tools
• Develop staff, provide mentoring, and oversee client engagement teams
• Lead engagement progress by monitoring time budgets and deadlines
• Communicate important developments, facts, conclusions, and recommendations to the engagement principal
• Serve State and Local Government agencies through CLA's audit and professional services practice

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in a large professional services or public accounting firm driving strategic management
• Experience leading teams of high performing people and managing governmental audits and Single audits strongly preferred
• CPA license certification is required

Demonstrates expertise in managing client relationships and leading teams in audit and financial planning within governmental contexts. Proficient in strategic management and mentoring, with a strong focus on meeting deadlines and budgetary constraints.
