Location: California

  • Provide program management leadership for Pfizer product teams
  • Lead execution of research, development, medical, and commercial strategic and operational objectives
  • Oversee asset strategy execution, integrated planning, team effectiveness, resource management, risk management, and communication management
  • Lead cross-functional development of integrated development, lifecycle, and operating plans from pre-clinical through loss of exclusivity
  • Drive decision-point planning, strategic planning, asset-level scenarios, decision criteria, risk management, and stakeholder strategies
  • Develop and maintain integrated program budgets and annual forecasts
  • Design and implement processes, approaches, and tools to manage programs and teams
  • Provide timeline and budget inputs for asset valuation
  • Lead integrated development plans, critical paths, milestones, stage gates, schedules, resource management, and product controls
  • Provide cross-functional operational leadership and monitor delivery against time, scope, budget, and quality objectives
  • Manage changes, opportunities, resource utilization, operational costs, budgets, risks, issues, and escalations
  • Negotiate Partner Line resource allocation and prioritize asset-level deliverables
  • Drive accountability matrices and governance presentation preparation
  • Develop, maintain, communicate, and manage integrated risk management plans
  • Develop and manage program and stakeholder communication plans
  • Represent product teams in governance presentations, operating plan reviews, and stakeholder discussions
  • Provide timeline, budget, and resource information for portfolio management and decision-making
  • Coordinate internal and external communications for study readouts, data monitoring committees, and interim analyses
  • Conduct lessons learned and after-action reviews
  • Enhance cross-functional team effectiveness through negotiation, facilitation, meeting management, and conflict resolution
  • Lead team chartering and team health survey implementation
  • Clarify project deliverables and workload and influence across all functional lines
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to drug development or business with at least 8 years of experience, or an advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MBA, MS) with at least 7 years of experience
  • Mastery of program management skills and significant expertise in drug development
  • Knowledge of end-to-end drug development from pre-clinical through loss of exclusivity
  • Strong track record of performance, delivery, and team effectiveness in a complex matrix team environment
  • Expertise in project management methodology, tools, and techniques, including integrated project plans, critical path management, project change control, project risk management, and decision analysis
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in drug development, medical, and/or commercial disciplines
  • Ability to translate strategy into effective operational goals and tactical plans
  • AI fluency and ability to leverage AI technologies responsibly for innovation, decision-making, and measurable business outcomes
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, interpersonal, communication, and meeting facilitation skills
  • Experience with stakeholder management, governance management, and communicating key messages to senior-level stakeholders
  • Professional PM certification such as PMP or equivalent desirable
  • Knowledge and experience in clinical operations/clinical trial execution highly desirable
  • Candidates must be authorized to be employed in the U.S. by any employer
  • Permanent work authorization in the United States required
