Shipping Crew MemberJob Summary:
Responsible for daily activities of shipping/receiving work. The purpose of this job is to efficiently accomplish daily shipping needs as required by the Postproduction/Shipping Supervisor.
Duties/Responsibilities:- Assist with staging product in the yard once it has been checked by Quality Control. When staging tanks be sure to make the most room in the yard so that other products can be staged as well
- Be sure all commercial tanks are pre-staged and ready for shipping.
- Maintain cleanliness inside the product before shipment.
- Work in a timely/efficient manner
- Assist with post-production duties as needed.
- Loading trucks for deliveries utilizing a pick ticket generated from dispatch. Check all products going on the truck to assure it is the correct product with exceptional quality.
- Unloading and receiving items from vendors as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Self-motivated, positive attitude, helpful and have strong organizational skills.
- Able to multi-task at any given time and provide attention to accuracy and detail.
- Read and understand production and CAD drawings
- Frequently use common construction hand tools
- She/he must have the physical ability to work in a precast concrete manufacturing plant.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include vision, distant vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
