Sunday through Wednesday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm or until complete. Work schedule is subject to change based upon production needs.

- This position is responsible for pick up, delivery, inspection, and sanitation of eggs to ascertain quality and fitness for incubation, inventory and storage of eggs under controlled conditions, and sanitation of equipment and facilities by performing all essential duties. Other duties may be assigned.
- Stores eggs by performing the following duties: picks up eggs from houses in laying, traps, and cages sections and delivers to hatchery, operates egg sanitizer by placing and removing eggs on a conveyor belt, grades eggs by observing shell color, quality, and texture to identify substandard eggs, places hatching eggs in buggies as identified by line, flock# and/or hen#, packs eggs in cases for international orders, places substandard eggs (broken, dirty, etc.)
in container for disposal (50%) - Loads PS/SS eggs on truck and delivers to front egg room for pick up by off-site driver, assists with loading of PS/SS egg racks on truck for transport to off-site hatchery (10%)
- Monitors hatchery environment hourly for proper temperature and humidity levels and reports issues as needed (10%)
- Maintains a sanitary environment by operating tray washer to wash/disinfect flats and hatcher trays, disinfects crates daily and thorough cleaning weekly, operates foamer to disinfect egg van after each pickup, fumigates specified areas of facility as required, operates high pressure sprayer and water hose to clean and sanitize egg room and hatchery vehicles daily, removes waste at end of shift (20%)

On alternate Wed will perform duties of Hatchery Processing, maintain vehicle by checking fluid levels, filters, and tire pressure, and maintains a clean and organized work/break area. (10%)
- The jobsite is a biosecure environment which requires showering, changing clothing and footwear before entering the facility. Appropriate clothing and footwear are provided by the Company. No jewelry may be worn on the jobsite except for medical and body piercings covered by appropriate clothing. Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.). Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity and Company Animal Welfare Guidelines.
Demands And Work Environment
- The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Physical:
Must use safe lifting techniques. Must regularly lift/carry crates of eggs weighing up to 50 pounds and push/pull egg racks weighing up to 1000 pounds. Will occasionally be required to pull/push stacked chick boxes weighing up to 90 pounds and lift individual chick boxes weighing up to 15 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand majority of shift (concrete floor);
climb in and out of vehicle; walk; sit; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision; distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus. - Tools and Equipment:
Egg sanitizer, tray washer, and standard transmission vehicle. Requires the use of hand tools such as broom, squeegee, vaccination gun, wire cutters. - Environment:
Required to work on wet, slippery surfaces and in hot, dry, dusty, wet and cold environments. - Personal Protective Equipment
