WhatYou’ll Do
As the Manufacturing Process Engineer focused on Automation, you will play a key role in enhancing manufacturing operations through process optimization and automation initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative solutions that improve efficiency, quality, and throughput.
Key Responsibilities Include:- Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity.
- Develop and implement automated manufacturing solutions to streamline production workflows.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis for automation projects.
- Design, program, and integrate automated systems including robotics and PLCs.
- Oversee installation and commissioning of automation equipment while minimizing production disruption.
- Train employees on new automation systems and processes.
- Utilize data analysis tools to monitor performance and identify improvement opportunities
- Prepare reports and present data-driven recommendations to leadership.
- Implement and maintain quality assurance protocols to ensure product specifications are achieved.
- Investigate and resolve quality issues related to automation processes.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing waste and improving manufacturing efficiency.
- Stay current on automation trends and emerging technologies to support innovation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing process engineering with a strong focus on automation.
- Experience supporting Lean manufacturing initiatives including Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Pull Systems, and Just-in-Time delivery.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
