The Production Manager has a pivotal role accountable for planning, directing, and managing production activities within our manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position is critical towards achieving operating goals and objectives aligned with plant and division objectives. The Production Manager ensures the highest standards of safety, quality processes, and teamwork efficiency in production for their shift.

This is an on-site position at our facility in Pacific, MO. Hours would be Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 4:00 am – 4:00 pm.

Key Responsibility
  • Assists and supports operations manager in all aspects within their given shift and beyond where applicable.
  • Provide leadership across their shift towards continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Foster flexibility in shift team members through effective cross-training initiatives.
  • Focus on team engagement to achieve continuous improvement in both production efficiency and changeover completion.
  • Collaborate with appropriate departments and support teams to solve problems and respond to concerns/issues.
  • Direct the work to enhance efficiency, cross training, safer work practices and attainment of quality goals.
  • Develop, recommend, and implement operating policies, ensuring their application.
  • Communicate effectively with line leads, shift lead, team members, and other management members to clarify expectations and address difficulties.
  • Monitor and evaluate team members, conduct interviews for potential candidates, and contribute to the selection process.
  • Maintain reporting as requested or required.
  • Support the Training Program for ongoing employee development.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that aligns with the company's values and goals.
  • Directly manage and oversee a team of operations personnel, including their day-to-day activities, performance, and professional development.
  • Supervise and administer timesheet tracking, ensuring accurate recording of hours worked and addressing any discrepancies promptly.
  • Manage Paid Time Off (PTO) requests, balancing operational needs with employee leave schedules.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Operational Management, Engineering, or a similar field preferred.
  • Relevant experience that demonstrates a comparable level of knowledge and skill will also be considered. (Min. five (5) years preferred.)
  • Experience in the aerosol or liquid fill industries preferred but not required.
  • Experience in the high-speed manufacturing is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrate foresight, creativity, a sense of urgency, and strong organizational skills.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate people effectively.
  • Exhibit technical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Showcase demonstrated ability to facilitate process improvement teams.
  • Display leadership and project management skills.
  • Experience in managing within a non‑union environment.
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite
