Position SummaryThe Receiving Associate is responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and processing all incoming materials and products. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that inventory records are accurate and materials are delivered to the correct departments in a timely manner. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and committed to maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Receive and unload incoming materials and supplies.
- Inspect shipments for damage or discrepancies and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Verify packing slips, purchase orders, and other documentation for accuracy.
- Enter receiving data accurately into the company’s ERP system.
- Label and stage received goods for inventory storage or delivery to appropriate departments.
- Assist in inventory counts and stock organization.
- Maintain a clean and safe receiving area.
- Collaborate with Purchasing, Production, and Quality teams to ensure timely resolution of receiving issues.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and effectively.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous warehouse, logistics, or receiving experience preferred.
- Ability to read and understand shipping and receiving documents.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills: experience with ERP or inventory systems is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Forklift certification (or ability to become certified upon hire).
- Ability to stand extended period of time.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Warehouse and production floor environment.
- Exposure to varying temperatures (non-climate-controlled environment).
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
1st Shift is M-TH, 4 X 10-hour shifts, 6:30 am – 5:00 pm.
All employees are expected to work overtime hours as needed.
Overtime is typically twice a month on Fridays and are 8-hour shifts.
