* Purpose:

** As a Welder you will be responsible for welding, positioning, aligning and fitting miscellaneous steel components according to technical drawings and blueprints, ensuring that they meet design specifications and quality standards.
** Required Knowledge, Skill, Abilities, and

Competencies:

** Basic Metalworking

Skills:

* + Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and basic metalworking machinery.  + Knowledge of shop machines and sand tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.  + Basic understanding of fabrication processes such as cutting, grinding, and drilling.

Welder 1:* + Proficient in welding flux core and/or hard wire  + Knowledge of basic weld symbols  + Basic knowledge of drawings  + Knowledge of welding equipment and their settings

Welder 2:* + D1.1 certified flux core and hard wire  + Advanced knowledge of weld symbols  + Able to troubleshoot welding equipment and perform minor repairs  + Correct unsatisfactory welds

Welder 3:* + Ability to train lower level welders  + Quality check welds  + Ability to weld multiple material types  + Basic fitting skills  + Knowledge and understanding of heat affected area and it’s reaction to base metal  + Identify and perform corrective actions  + Ability to interpret and understand blueprints and drawings
