Operate the shear machine and associated equipment in a safe, productive manner per orders and customer specifications.

• Set up the machine and make proper adjustments as needed to ensure each product meets customer specifications.
• Thread copper tubing into the shear machine from a pan, straightening it into a straight length piece.
• Ensure the finished copper tubing meets quality standards.
• Record all required measurements and enter the information into the MES record‑keeping system.
• Keep the area around the machine clean; clean the work area daily before the end of each shift.
• Perform other duties directed by the Production Supervisor, especially when waiting on feed stock.
• Participate in programs to improve safety, quality, and process improvements within the department or other production areas.
• Report to lead personnel and shift supervisor to ensure compliance with safety, quality, productivity, and maintenance issues.

Lead personnel, shift supervisor, production manager, saw operator, quality personnel, and maintenance personnel as needed.

Computer skills, reading of micrometers, effective verbal communication, and self‑starter.

This is a 3rd Shift position. Hours are 8 pm–6 am. Starting wage is based on level of experience and skill.
