Howmet Fastening Systems (HFS) is seeking a Maintenance Tech V in our City of Industry, California location. HFS is a business unit of Howmet Aerospace, headquartered in Torrance, California. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Good communication skills & know basic shop math
• Ability to work in fast paced environment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, policies and procedure in English
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence as required
• Able to lift/move up to 30 pounds regularly
• Able to follow and carryout instructions
• Ability to perform LOTO
• Ability to operate Mobile Equipment
• Knowledge of basic shop tools
• Able to do gauging and measuring
• Knowledge of basic machine mechanics
• Basic computer skills (e.g. Outlook, Work Order Database)
• Able to assist with basic tasks assigned by lead, supervisor, or more senior maintenance tech with basic electrical and/or mechanical work orders
• Must be Mobile Equipment Operator Certified
• Able to use Express Maintenance Proficiently
• Able to do moderate PLC troubleshooting
• Advanced knowledge and demonstration of troubleshooting maintenance work orders related to mechanical repairs
• Advanced troubleshooting skills for all shop floor machinery
• Advanced level fabrication/sheet metal work
• Advanced knowledge of advanced machine mechanics, and pneumatics
• Thorough knowledge of HVAC and electrical troubleshooting and repairs
• Electrical or HVAC training certificate required
• Must have ability to understand basic Microsoft Office programs
• Able to use express maintenance

• Minimum of 10+ Years of Maintenance Experience
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility is required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position;
• This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITRA defines U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen U.S. Permanent Resident (ie. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

The position includes competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance (medical, dental, vision), excellent 401k matching program, paid holidays and vacation. The salary range for this position is $36/hr to $42/hr
