The successful candidate will be a hands‑on quality leader with a strong foundation in food safety systems, ready to take ownership of day‑to‑day QA operations. The ideal candidate brings a strong floor presence, a technical mindset, and the ability to drive execution, compliance, and culture in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Lead day‑to‑day quality and food safety operations within a growing meat processing facility
- Partner closely with the Director of QA and plant leadership to ensure compliance with USDA, FSMA, and internal quality standards
- Maintain and execute HACCP plans, food safety programs, and environmental monitoring systems
- Oversee sanitation programs, including managing third‑party sanitation and validating effectiveness through testing and swabbing
- Support and lead internal audits, third‑party audits, and regulatory inspections
- Investigate non‑conformances, customer complaints, and quality issues, driving root cause and corrective actions
- Train, coach, and develop QA staff while building strong cross‑functional relationships with operations and sanitation teams
- Support the plant’s expansion into the second shift, providing QA leadership and ensuring consistency across shifts
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to food safety, product quality, and plant performance
- Remain highly visible on the production floor, working side by side with operations to solve problems in real time
- A hands‑on QA leader with strong experience in food manufacturing, ideally within meat or wet sanitation environments
- Experienced in HACCP, FSMA, and food safety systems with a solid understanding of regulatory requirements
- Background in environmental monitoring programs and sanitation validation
- A proven leader who can coach, develop, and influence teams across multiple functions
- Flexible and adaptable, comfortable supporting off‑shifts or second shift as the plant grows
- Strong problem solver who thrives in fast paced, evolving environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field preferred
- Real impact: Play a key role in building and shaping QA systems within a growing U.S. operation
- Growth opportunity: Step into a leadership role with visibility and long term advancement potential
- Hands‑on environment: Work closely with leadership and operations to drive real time decisions and improvements
- Expansion stage: Be part of scaling the plant, including second shift implementation and future growth
- Strong foundation: Join a well‑established global company investing in long‑term success in the U.S. market
