PEO-Machine Operator – Night Shift (7:50 pm–8:00 am)

Job SummaryEnsure assigned machines produce food‑safe products at optimal cycle efficiency with minimal scrap. Conform to GMP, food safety, and company procedures. Perform responsibilities with urgency.
Essential Job Functions- Adhere to GMP, HACCP, SQF process requirements; report non‑compliance to Management or SQF practitioner immediately.
- Report to scheduled shifts and attend required meetings.
- Monitor product quality continuously; stop deviations immediately, maintain visual and manual inspection of cups.
- Perform line checks and quality tests during production; discard inspected defects as scrap.
- Alert Shift Supervisor and QA of deviations requiring audit.
- Diagnose and repair machine problems, maintain suggested cycle settings for optimal quality.
- Respond urgently to defective cups brought by Packers, Packing Tech or QA.
- Maintain a safe, clean work area in compliance with GMP.
- Operate 1 to 1½ machine lines with 4–5 machines per line; set machine cycle.
- Make programming adjustments as needed; inspect cups with micrometer twice per 12‑hour shift and after each mold change.
- Perform dunk testing and quality checks.
- Conduct light machine repairs at 33‑inch high table; move to parts room for major repairs.
- Work 12+ hour shift: sitting, standing, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, grasping, lifting.
- Manually move cases of finished goods up to 50 pounds.
- When the operator is absent (e.g., vacation), the Shift Supervisor will arrange for a fill‑in from another shift.
- High School Diploma.
- Mechanical background preferred.
- Relevant experience as a production equipment operator or in a similar role. Additional skills: machine maintenance, quality assurance, and safety compliance.
- Frequent listening, exchange of information.
- Observing and assessing information in a fast‑paced environment.
- Use of manufacturing equipment; move up to 50 pounds.
- Remain stationary or stand for long periods up to 12 hours.
- Speak, walk, sit, use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, crawl or crouch as required.
- Work area contains moving mechanical parts.
- Indoor manufacturing environment; exposure to extreme heat; not air‑conditioned.
- Loud noises, odors, occasional airborne particles.
- PPE required: hairnet, hearing protection, safety glasses with side guards.
- Work 8+, 10+ or 12+ hour shifts; weekdays, weekends, and overtime as designated.
