We’re looking for a hands‑on, driven Food Packaging Foreman to lead our packaging operations and support a high‑performing production team. Position OverviewAs a Food Packaging Foreman, you’ll oversee day‑to‑day packaging line operations, ensuring production runs efficiently, safely, and meets all quality standards. You’ll act as the bridge between departments while leading and developing frontline team members. This role is ideal for someone who leads by example, solves problems quickly, and is passionate about continuous improvement.
What You’ll DoProduction Leadership
- Lead and coordinate daily packaging line operations
- Assign team members to roles based on production needs
- Ensure production goals (throughput, yield, efficiency) are met or exceeded
- Troubleshoot equipment, process, and staffing issues in real time
- Communicate priorities and updates clearly to the team
Food Safety & Quality
- Enforce all food safety standards (HACCP, allergen controls)
- Verify packaging accuracy (labels, date codes, materials)
- Perform pre‑op and in‑process quality checks
- Investigate and document quality issues or deviations
- Support internal and external audits
Safety & Compliance
- Promote and enforce a zero‑injury workplace
- Lead daily safety meetings and ensure PPE compliance
- Investigate incidents and complete required reporting
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Team Leadership
- Coach, mentor, and develop packaging team members
- Monitor attendance and performance; provide feedback and accountability
- Train and cross‑train employees to build team flexibility
- Participate in hiring and onboarding new team members
Operations & Reporting
- Track production metrics (throughput, yield, efficiency)
- Complete shift reports and production documentation
- Ensure proper sanitation before, during, and after shifts
Continuous Improvement
- Identify ways to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance quality
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and root cause analysis
- Support seasonal menu and packaging updates
Experience & Education
- High School Diploma or GED required (Associate degree or vocational/technical certification preferred)
- 3–5 years in a manufacturing or packaging environment
- 1–2 years of supervisory or lead experience in a production setting
Technical Skills
- Experience with packaging equipment (MAP machines, labelers preferred)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities; ability to perform minor adjustments/maintenance using equipment manual
- Comfortable with Google Workspace and learning new systems
- Ability to follow and create SOPs and work instructions

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand/walk for 8–10 hour shifts
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Comfortable working in refrigerated environments
- Ability to work around noise, machinery, and cleaning chemicals (PPE provided)

- Report all safety and food safety concerns immediately
5 AM – 3 PM, Tuesday – Friday
