Position Title
Production / Packaging Associate
Wage$16.55 per hour
Shift3rd Shift (11:00 pm - 7:00 am)
LocationPalmyra, MO
Responsibilities- Inspect plastic products coming off the conveyor line to ensure quality standards and customer specifications are met
- Identify and remove defective, damaged, or non‑conforming products
- Perform secondary finishing operations such as trimming excess plastic using hand tools (box knives or trimming tools)
- Count products accurately according to packing lists, work orders, or customer specifications
- Assemble products and components including handles, wheels, lids, or other accessories as required
- Build, prepare, and label boxes and packaging materials for shipment or storage
- Package products according to company procedures and customer requirements, including sorting, labeling, boxing, shrink wrapping, and assembling multi‑packs
- Complete required production reports, quality check sheets, labels, and documentation accurately
- Grind runners and scrap materials for reuse or disposal according to company procedures
- Assist with various operations and production tasks within the plastics department as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment at all times
- Follow all company safety procedures, PPE requirements, quality standards, and operational guidelines
- Communicate quality concerns, equipment issues, or production shortages to supervisors promptly
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Previous manufacturing, assembly, packaging, production, or plastics experience preferred but not required
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, packing lists, labels, and production documentation
- Ability to accurately count, package, and label products according to specifications
- Comfortable using hand tools such as box knives, trimming tools, and basic assembly equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced production environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work assigned shifts, overtime, or weekends as needed
- Prior experience in plastics manufacturing, packaging, assembly, or conveyor line production environments preferred
- Experience with quality inspections and production documentation beneficial
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform repetitive assembly tasks efficiently
- Familiarity with production quotas, packaging procedures, or private label assembly is a plus
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work assignments
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Commitment to maintaining workplace safety and cleanliness
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately
- Ability to frequently lift, carry, and move materials up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive production tasks
