class ii ahu fabricator – 2nd shift
location: albany, mo
shift: 2nd shift | full‑time
pay: $21.50 + $1.00 shift premium for 2nd shift
what you will do- ensure hardware and components match bill of materials (bom)
- install components securely and ensure proper fit and alignment according to the spec sheet
- prepare product to be painted and shipped
- install hardware and custom parts into assembly per specification for hvac units
- identify proper parts to complete assemblies by reading specification sheets and blueprints
- utilize rivet gun, air gun, knife, welding and other hand tools to perform duties
- operate bridge crane or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area
- perform preventative maintenance and make minor machine repairs as needed
- responsible for adhering to a production schedule, ensuring that all parts are properly fitted, aligned, and secured and ensuring that safety standards are always met
- ability to read, interpret, and follow blueprints and building plans preferred
- previous experience in an industrial setting a plus

education / experience- high school diploma or ged preferred
- ability to read and comprehend english language in safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, shop‑floor paperwork and procedure manuals
- ability to write simple correspondence
- ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees
- ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- ability to compute rate and percent and interpret bar graphs
- ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- basic computer skills required
- operating a fork truck is a preferred function
