Albany, MO. Shift: Weekend Shift (Friday–Sunday: 11AM–11PM). Pay: $24.20hour.
Are you detail‑oriented and mechanically inclined? Join our Albany Plant team in this Class
V Maintenance position. You will inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment and facility systems, including mechanical, electrical (single‑ and three‑phase), hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC‑controlled machinery. You will install, dismantle, rig, fabricate, weld, and rebuild equipment and components, operate machine tools, and read and interpret blueprints and schematics. You will perform preventive maintenance, maintain forklifts, cranes, and hoists, operate maintenance equipment, and support overall plant safety and reliability.
- Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.
- Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discuss machines operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems or repair machines.
- Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts, including rigging and installation of machinery.
- Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
- Install and repair electrical apparatus such as transformers and wiring (3‑phase and single‑phase), and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
- Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment; repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
- Repair and maintain the physical structure of the establishment.
- Install, program, and/or repair programmable controls and machine controllers.
- Set up and operate machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures, and tools.
- Operate cutting torch or welding equipment.
- Fabricate and repair counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures.
- Read and interpret blueprints, hydraulic, pneumatic, and/or electrical schematics.
- Operate forklift and other maintenance‑related equipment (examples include man‑lift, snowplow, etc.); repair and maintain forklifts and other related vehicles.
- Repair and maintain hand tools, impact guns, saws, etc.
- Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment and inspect cranes and hoists monthly.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to read and comprehend English language instructions, memos, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Effective presentation of information in one‑on‑one and small‑group situations.
- Mathematical ability: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure; compute rate, percent, and interpret bar graphs.
- Reasoning ability: apply common‑sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form; deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Basic computer skills.
- Operating a forklift is essential; operator must be licensed by the company before operating a forklift.
- Electrical, welding or other related certificates and/or licenses are preferred.
- No supervisory responsibilities.
Physical Requirements
The employee will regularly work near moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and vibration. The noise level is usually loud. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and may need to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Regularly lifts or moves up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
Hazardous Waste Handling- Identify and classify hazardous waste according to local regulations.
- Label containers with appropriate hazard warnings and collection dates.
- Collect hazardous waste from generating areas and transport to designated storage areas; ensure proper segregation and storage of incompatible materials.
- Maintain accurate records of waste generation, storage, and disposal (e.g., manifests, logs).
