Welder​/Press Brake​/Machine Operator

Awesome company in the Inland Empire is seeking a detail-oriented and productive Press Brake Operator.

Job Title: Press Brake Operator

Location: Inland Empire

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour (DOE)

Summary: Set-up and operate various fabrication machinery, equipment, and tooling including bending machine, laser cutting machine, cut‑off saws, drill press, manual mill, hardware insertion machines, and pneumatic deburring tools, orbital grinder/sander, etc. Reads and interprets CAD drawings, layouts, sketches, specifications, routings, and procedures. Works under minimum supervision in the deburring and preparation of parts, grind welds when required, and operate punch press and other in‑shop machinery.

TIG welding of aluminum and steel.

• Requires 6 months to 1 year of shop experience with welding, tools or machine operator
• Minimum six months of experience in machine shop and/or equivalent time in related education, preferred.
• TIG Hand-welding of Aluminum & Steels, production, prototypes, fixtures, repairs
• Ability to learn equipment and processes for fabrication of parts and produce parts in accordance to production plans, drawings, specification, verbal instructions, and production standards
• Knowledge and understanding of weld symbols, prints and process instructions.
• Ability to remove parts from sheets as instructed, Deburr, hand‑grind weld joints, set‑up and/or operate Punch Press and Hardware machines as needed
• Position may include operation of other machinery, including CNC Mill, Brake Press, Turret Punch, plus Powder‑Coat Painting and Silk‑screening
• Perform accurate math calculations when taking measurements and setting up machinery and equipment
• Ability to read, understand and interpret drawings, sketches, specifications, routings, and procedures
• Must be able to lift up to 45lbs and stand throughout the shift as needed
• Requires ability to effectively read, speak and write in the English language to communicate, understand and follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability and willingness to work overtime, when needed

• Various sheet metal operations, including a combination of: deburr turret punched sheets using Timesaver machine.
• Removal of parts from sheet and deburr as needed using hand files and pneumatic deburring tools.
• Grind/Sand excess weld material using orbital grinder/sander or other sheet metal operations as needed, including punch press, hardware insertion, cut‑off saws, drill press, spot weld, manual mill and powder coat painting
• Welding: fit components together, clamp & fixture as needed to effectively perform welding operations—minimizing excess weld material and maximizing productivity
• Set up fixtures and run laser robotic welder as needed
• Self-inspection of parts to drawings and/or process instructions when applicable
• Follow ISO related quality policies, procedures, and documentation requirements as applicable
• Follow departmental safety requirements including proper use of PPE as required
• Sets‑up and operates fabrication machinery and tools safely including any or all of the following: bending machines, laser cutting machine, cut‑off saws, drill press, manual mill, hardware insertion machines, pneumatic deburring tools, and orbital grinder/sander, etc.
• Monitors machine operations and inspects parts per drawing/specifications; makes adjustments as needed
• Performs calculations and selects tools and/or dies for a wide variety of operations
• Performs deburring operations to remove excess metal, radius edges and/or surface defects from parts
• Inspects parts to ensure conformance to quality specifications, using gauges, taps and other measuring tools as required. Follow procedures as needed to address non‑conformities.
