Description
U-2 Aircraft Modification Technician for the Aircraft Modification Team responsible for delivering precise (Structural) modifications to U-2 Aircraft stationed at Beale AFB, California.
What You Will Be Doing- Heavy Depot Level Maintenance, Repair and modification of the aircraft structure and major subassemblies. Plan, layout, fabricate, assemble, install, and repair various sheet metal and structural assemblies and sub-assemblies utilizing precision measuring equipment.
- Complete jobs in maintenance data collection systems, adhere to all technical orders, fault isolation manuals, ground operating procedures and local operational instructions.
- Regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive movements, work overhead, use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms.
- The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and twist.
- Confined Space Entry.
- Minimum 5 years experience with Aircraft maintenance and/or modification activities.
- Must have held a USAF skill level 7 (or equivalent) in their career field.
- Experienced in Aircraft Structural repair and installation.
- Be able to read & interpret blueprints and schematics.
- U-2 Nose to Tail experience in Structures experience.
- Aircraft MOD Experience.
- USAF Trained certified in structural repair.
- Possess previous instructor / training experience.
- Heavy Depot Maintenance experience.
Requires U.S. Citizen, active Secret clearance to start. Must possess strong communications and interpersonal skills. Must read, write and speak English fluently.

CompensationBase range for this position in California is $24.77 - $42.53 per hour. The wage rate and benefits summary is a general guideline and is governed by the applicable contract when extending an offer.
