Shift +

Hours:

4 days on / 4 days off rotating shift (2 day shifts followed by 2 night shifts, 12-hour shifts, approx. 6am–6pm / 6pm–6am)

Salary Range: Competitive salary + shift allowance + comprehensive benefits package

How You’ll Make an Impact

As an Automotive Technician at our state-of-the-art Mechanical and Engine Testing Facility in Hazelwood, you will play a key role in delivering safe, high-quality, and cost-effective testing that supports the development and validation of advanced fuel and lubricant additive technologies for the automotive industry.

  • Conduct and monitor fired engine, driveline, and industrial tests in line with defined procedures
  • Operate test control systems to monitor data and adjust operating parameters as required
  • Build, install, de‑rig, and strip engines, gearboxes, axles, and other mechanical test components
  • Initiate and support repairs to test installations to ensure continuous operation
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and support implementation of enhancements
  • Promote and comply with all Health, Safety & Environment (HS&E) policies and procedures
Required Qualifications that Enable Your Success
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Proven hands‑on experience with automotive fault‑finding techniques
  • Experience with engine strip‑down, repair, or rebuild activities
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
  • PC literacy, including use of standard office and data systems
  • Flexibility and willingness to work rotating day and night shifts in a 24/7 operation
Preferred Qualifications that Drive You Forward
  • Previous experience working in an engine test cell, mechanical testing, or laboratory environment
  • Prior experience in a shift‑based operational role
