Position Summary

The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for monitoring production processes, conducting inspections, verifying compliance with food safety programs, and ensuring products meet customer specifications and quality standards.

Schedule
  • 2nd Shift Available
  • Monday – Thursday
  • 3:00 PM – 2:00 AM
  • Four 10-Hour Shifts
  • 3-Day Weekend Most Weeks
  • Overtime as Needed Based on Production Requirements
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct production floor audits and inspections
  • Verify compliance with GMPs, HACCP, SQF, and food safety programs
  • Monitor product quality throughout production
  • Perform pre-operational inspections
  • Collect and document quality data accurately
  • Verify weights, labels, packaging, and product specifications
  • Investigate and document quality concerns
  • Communicate quality and food safety issues to management
  • Monitor employee GMP compliance
  • Assist with corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and timely
  • Support regulatory, customer, and internal audits
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Quality Assurance or Food Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, SQF, USDA, or FDA regulations preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Basic computer skills and data entry experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Lift up to 40 pounds as needed
  • Ability to inspect products, equipment, and production processes
  • Work in varying temperatures including refrigerated areas
