Powder Coat Painter - 1st Shift

Schaefer's Electrical Enclosures is a tier‑one manufacturer located in Scott City, Missouri. We utilize a lean manufacturing philosophy and an agile workforce to provide you with custom enclosures suited to your applications. We manufacture standard, modified, and custom electrical enclosures and serve industries such as oil and gas exploration, energy, telecom, OEM equipment applications, and many more.

The painter will use a powder coating method to paint electrical assemblies, sub panels, and accessories by utilizing the proper sequence and work instructions to ensure quality results.

• Operate, troubleshoot and maintain assigned paint booth, gun, and related tools.
• Must change over booth or perform other necessary operations in support of the paint department and production schedules.
• Report defective materials or questionable quality conditions to the department SME.
• Maintains the work area and and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
• Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on paint equipment, as required

• Must be able to wear a respirator
• Must be detailed orientated
• Must have the ability to use a hand held sprayer to properly coat materials
• Ability to follow established SOP's and Work Instructions
• Must be able to follow directions and work in a fast paced, team environment.
• Ability to stay self-motivated
• Ability to complete required paperwork

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous paint experience is required
• Previous powder coat paint experience preferred.

• Prolonged periods of standing
• Must be able to bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 50lbs.
