Job Summary

The Southern Hobby Production Lead, 2nd Shift is responsible for supporting warehouse operations and ensuring an efficient flow of order fulfillment. This role provides direct supervision of the Shipping Lead and Quality Control Lead, guiding their teams to meet company standards for accuracy, timeliness, and safety. Acting as the central point of coordination, the Production Lead helps resolve operational challenges, balances workloads, and drives overall performance across shipping and quality control functions.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Serve as a key point of support to the Warehouse Manager, act as backup in their absence
  • Coordinate with Shipping and QC Leads to ensure smooth workflow and proper staffing across functions
  • Sort and disburse all pick tickets in the most efficient manner to maximize productivity within timelines
  • Monitor and adjust production priorities to meet daily shipping goals
  • Identify and help resolve workflow bottlenecks across picking, packing, QC, and shipping areas
  • Review daily production metrics and assist with generating performance reports
  • Assist with Order QC and processing of outbound orders when needed (primarily Will Call/LTL)
  • Ensure accuracy and efficiency using RF handheld equipment
  • Support efforts to control inventory accuracy and reduce shrink
  • Assist with physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization in line with 5S principles
  • Foster a positive and accountable work environment
  • Assist with loading trucks safely and efficiently
  • Communicate and elevate any order, shipping, or receiving issues to management
  • Train and guide team members on standard procedures when necessary
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Supervisory Responsibilities

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

1-3 years’ experience working in a warehouse preferred.
