Production & Maintenance Manager | Food Manufacturing
A growing food manufacturer is seeking a hands‑on Production & Maintenance Manager to help lead plant operations, improve equipment reliability, and support continued business growth.
This is a highly visible leadership role within a lean manufacturing environment where you'll have the opportunity to make a direct impact on production performance, team development, food safety, and operational efficiency. Current operation runs a single production shift, four days per week, in a highly collaborative, hands‑on manufacturing environment.
What You'll Do- Lead daily production operations to achieve safety, quality, service, and efficiency goals
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on throughput, waste reduction, labor utilization, and downtime
- Develop and strengthen preventive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability
- Partner with Quality, Sanitation, and Operations teams to maintain food safety and regulatory compliance
- Monitor and improve KPIs including OEE, labor efficiency, quality, safety, and productivity
- Coach, develop, and lead production and maintenance personnel
- Support future growth, capacity expansion, and operational improvement initiatives
- 5+ years of leadership experience in food manufacturing
- Experience leading production teams in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
- Hands‑on leadership style with a strong presence on the plant floor
- Mechanical aptitude and maintenance leadership experience preferred
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, SQF, food safety, and quality systems
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence initiatives
- Bakery, dough, snack food, frozen food, or related manufacturing experience preferred
- $10,000 Sign-On Bonus (grossed up) to assist with relocation
