Mold Repair 3rd shift

Mold Repair – 3rd Shift (11pm-7am)

Pay rate: $40.87/hr.

• Inspect, assemble, and repair tools and molds, utilizing precision measuring instruments to ensure all components meet specifications and function correctly.
• Identify root causes of mold or parts defects, perform a high range of repairs on medium to high complexity tools, and plan and perform preventive maintenance properly.
• Apply experience with hot runners, cores, sensors installation and service, three-plate, two-shot tooling, water circuits, and tool electrical maintenance.
• Independently execute full-cycle tooling maintenance, cleaning, and rapid repair.
• Work safely in molding machine tools, following all safety requirements.
• Utilize onsite machining to rework worn tooling and fabricate custom, simple tools. Benching, texturing, welding, EDM, and CNC knowledge preferred.
• Ensure molds return from maintenance to run productively without recurring errors and evaluate tooling for preventive maintenance programs.
• Maintain a steady, professional work environment and collaborate in training others while upholding a 6S housekeeping standard.

• Minimum five years of experience as a Mold Maker.
• Associate’s degree required; technical degree preferred.
• Completion of an electrical troubleshooting course.
• Strong understanding of plastics processing requirements for molds, including venting, heating, cooling, polishing; nozzle, sprue, and runner configuration; and steel plating applications.
• Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagrammatic form.
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical information between tool design and manufacturing activities.
• Experience with EDM and CNC is preferred.
