Assembler - 1st

Job Summary

As an Assembler at SPX Technologies, you will assemble heater unit product codes and fabricate necessary components according to work order, blueprint, and engineering specification.

• Lay out diagrams for electrical installations according to wiring specifications.
• Drill and tap holes for mounting control units.
• Attach breakers, relays, connectors, bus bars, transformers and insulators.
• Perform hydro tests per specification.
• Paint products as necessary.
• Install and wire thermostats and other options.
• Fabricate bussing and solder connections.
• Test and adjust electrical components.
• Discuss errors in diagrams or production orders with supervision or engineering.

• Employee regularly required to stand, use hands, reach, walk, talk or listen. Occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• Must regularly lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Employee occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; risk of electrical shock and vibration. Noise level usually very loud.

• One to three months related experience and/or training.

• Certified in ASME brazing procedures BPS-B1, BPS-B2, BPS-B3, BPS-B4, BPS-B5.
• High school diploma or GED.
